Voting is "worship" of the State; rendered either as a service or privilege, coerced under threat of penalty, or by appeal to ignorant self-interest of compliance. Tacit or motivated endorsement.

THE NATURAL FLOW OF WORSHIP is reciprocal - not equal

As expressed by:

LOVING SERVICE in HONOUR (duty)

or as a

CALCULATED EXPLOITATION in TRADE (deal).

DEMONS - worship & serve or attempt to exploit deal with humans

HUMANS - worship & serve or attempt to exploit deal with devata (higher beings "gods", in the Kali Yuga, the best we can expect is “feet of clay”, which is why Constitutions are to limit Government power not People’s power).

DEVATA - worship & serve or attempt to exploit deal with the Supreme Being or Supreme Consciousness or Supreme Personality aka "God" Bhagavan/Brahman/Paramatma.

So, some empathy or sympathy for the “higher good” or knowledge of is required, whether unregulated (spontaneous) genuine service, or as a highly regulated personally motivated beings in noble service to other beings.

Such noble service improves the one who serves - even if originally for the wrong motivations. To work for a good endeavour no doubt, gives good results, yet to give oneself wholeheartedly to that endeavour - achieves great results.
